Summer Lovin'

Thanks to Grease for the song title. (here's a fun fact about me: I have NEVER seen that movie. Yet. )

What a week it has been! I really don’t want this to turn into a huge list of all the stuff I’ve done, I am just going to jot down my thoughts and I’m sorry if it seems that way!

The last few weeks have been about being busy, busy busy. After I let go of some of the negative people in my life, I was able to open up and finally meet some really awesome people and also to reconnect with some old friends as well. It has been so great to have friends to txt, talk to, have coffee with, email, IM, do kid stuff with and do grown up stuff with. On top of some of my other commitments like the Preschool Spring Fling garage sale the first few weeks of the summer have been jam packed and it’s been truly great! Those of you who share my sense of humor and make the time much more fun are the ones I want to thank!

For the first time ever, the girls love playing outside. My park moms (you know who you are!!!) make that time enjoyable for me as well as the girls. We are like a small army fighting in the war that is the Playground (hummm potential future blog post???) but the sharing of watching, pushing, feeding, wiping nose of, running after etc. makes it so much easier. It also makes for more time for just hanging out and talking to other adults, and one of them usually has coffee or a baked snack. I love our park dates and impromptu lunches and dinners, that you always reply to my txts, and that you understand when during a 30 min phone call, there was maybe 10 minutes of real talk. But I love that that’s ok with you because you too have one, two or 5(ha! Ha!) kids in your charge.

My Online/internet/long distance friends, I know you have suffered in this shift in my time and that you may be feeling a little bit left out. I’m so sorry that you may feel that way. I can play during the day because I know that all of you are only a txt, phone call or email away. You are truly my support system and because of all of you I now feel like I can go out and be myself and it has been awesome! And I have you to thank. You all know that I would move heaven and earth for any one of you if the need arose and I hope you know that I will do my best to keep in touch as much as possible. I miss all of you so much too!!!!

I just want to apologize for all the times I used commas and lists in this post, (and also brackets). I am aware that it is not grammatically perfect, but it's 10:20pm I was out late last night and I spent two hours jumping on a trampoline. BUT I will happily trade my proper punctuation for all the fun I have been having!

I'm so glad you are having so much fun! You deserve it! You sound happy, and that's all that matters! Keep it up, keep going, as long as you are enjoying it!!!

No need to apologize for having fun with your life! I think all that you are doing is awesome and you should enjoy every second. Who cares about perfect grammar/punctuation anyhow?
